The Minnesota Timberwolves, the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, and the Dallas Mavericks, the No. 5 seed, face off in the Western Conference Finals NBA Playoffs series.

The Timberwolves went 56-26 in the regular season and swept the No. 6 Phoenix Suns in four games in the first round of the NBA postseason before defeating the No. 2 Denver Nuggets in seven games in the Western Conference semifinals. The Mavericks were 50-32 and beat the No. 4 Los Angeles Clippers in six games in the first round and the No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder in six games in the second round.

The Timberwolves won three of the four games in the season series.

The Timberwolves have home court advantage in the series and host games 1, 2, 5 and 7 in the seven-game series, with the Mavericks hosting games 3, 4 and 6.
