Christian Moore updates his health after leaving Tennessee baseball vs Texas A&M in Game 2

OMAHA, Neb. — Christian Moore insisted he will be ready to play Game 3 on Monday as Tennessee baseball plays for its first national title in program history.

The Vols second baseman left UT's 4-1 win against Texas A&M on Sunday in the ninth inning, replaced by freshman Ariel Antigua, after a seventh-inning issue. He said his right leg cramped.

"A little banged-up, but I will be good to go tomorrow," Moore said.

Tennessee (59-13) forced a decisive Game 3 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) in the College World Series final with its win Sunday after losing the opener 9-5 on Saturday to Texas A&M (53-14).

Moore tagged up from first to second on Blake Burke's deep flyout to center field in the seventh inning. He slid in safely, but then came up holding the back of his right leg. He remained in the game and scored on Dylan Dreiling's two-run homer.

The junior dealt with leg soreness during the Knoxville Super Regional against Evansville. He left Game 1 before starting at designated hitter in Game 2. He has started at second base every game since.

Moore has hit a program-record 33 homers this season and is the program's career record-holder with 60.
