The Cleveland Guardians made things look easy against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday, winning Game 1 of the best-of-five American League Divisional Series 7-0.

Things will be a little tougher for the Guardians on Monday. Taking the mound for Detroit is starting pitcher Tarik Skubal, the potential American League Cy Young Award winner. The Guardians will counter with Matthew Boyd.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Skubal was 18-4 this season with a 2.39 ERA. He was the American League leader in strikeouts with 228 in 192 innings pitched.

Boyd started eight games for the Guardians this season. The former Tigers pitcher was 2-2 with a 2.72 ERA. He struck out 46 batters in 39.2 innings pitched.
