Brock Purdy, Mark Andrews, Brandon Aiyuk among Arizona connections still in NFL Playoffs

Has your team been eliminated from the NFL Playoffs or did it not make the NFL postseason, leaving you without a team to support in the AFC Championship Game or NFC Championship Game on Sunday?

If that's the case, fans of Arizona high school football, ASU, Arizona, NAU and the Arizona Cardinals have options for which teams to back this weekend.

Several former Arizona high school, college and professional football standouts are on the rosters of teams vying on Sunday for a berth in Super Bowl 58.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy leads a contingent of former Arizona high school football players still in the postseason, a list that also includes Mark Andrews of the Baltimore Ravens.

The 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk and the Detroit Lions' Chase Lucas are former Sun Devils in the playoffs still, while the Wildcats are represented by Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles of the 49ers.

Lions CB Khalil Dorsey played for the Lumberjacks, giving NAU fans a team to watch.

Detroit Lions TE Zach Ertz headlines the former Cardinals players currently on NFL postseason rosters.

Alex Barrett, Mesa Desert Ridge: The former Jaguars star, a defensive lineman, is on the 49ers' practice squad.

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, Marana Mountain View/Arizona: The former Wildcats star linebacker has 19 total tackles for San Francisco this season.

Isaiah Oliver, Phoenix Brophy Prep: Oliver has 67 total tackles at cornerback for the 49ers on the year.

Brock Purdy, Gilbert Perry: The former Arizona high school football player of the year has thrown for 4,280 yards and 31 touchdowns this season.

Detroit Lions

David Blough, Cardinals: Blough threw two touchdown passes for the Cardinals in 2022. He's on the Lions' practice squad.

Khalil Dorsey, NAU: The cornerback has 11 total tackles for the Lions this season.

Zach Ertz, Cardinals: The Cardinals released Ertz earlier this season and he was recently signed by the Lions.

Chase Lucas, Chandler/ASU: The former ASU standout has three total tackles for Detroit this season.

Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews, Scottsdale Desert Mountain: Andrews had 45 catches for 544 yards and six touchdowns before getting injured this season. He's expected back Sunday.

Christian Matthew, Cardinals: Matthew has a solo tackle for the Ravens. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the seventh round in 2022.

Kansas City Chiefs

Matt Bushman, Tucson Sabino: Bushman is on the Chiefs' practice squad this season.

Blaine Gabbert, Cardinals: The Chiefs' backup QB, Gabbert played five games for the Cardinals in 2017.

Keaontay Ingram, Cardinals: The Chiefs added Ingram to their practice squad after the Cardinals dropped him this season. He was a second-round pick by Arizona in 2022.
