Sunday, Jan. 28 AFC Championship Game prediction
Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens, 1 p.m., CBS, Paramount+
The Chiefs are coming off a 27-24 win against the Buffalo Bills in their NFL Divisional Round game. The Ravens are coming off a 34-10 win against the Houston Texans. They did not play each other in the regular season.
We would not be surprised if the Chiefs upset the Ravens, but Baltimore feels destined for the Super Bowl this season. The offense is firing on all cylinders and the defense is clicking. The Ravens will slow down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs just enough to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2013.
Prediction: Ravens 24, Chiefs 21

Sunday, Jan. 28 NFC Championship Game prediction
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers, 4:30 p.m., FOX , FOX Deportes (stream with free trial from FUBO)
The Lions are coming off a 31-23 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their NFL Divisional Round game. The 49ers are coming off a 24-21 win against the Green Bay Packers. They did not play each other in the regular season.
Can the Lions beat the 49ers? Yes, they can. Will they? We don't think so. Detroit will have to play outside the friendly confines of Ford Field for the first time this postseason and San Francisco's defense will get to Jared Goff enough to force some turnovers. Brock Purdy will be efficient enough to lead the 49ers back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2020.
Prediction: 49ers 27, Lions 23
