Brock Bowers clarifies comments about hope of playing for Tennessee Titans at NFL combine
INDIANAPOLIS — Less than a month after sparking a media frenzy by saying he'd like to play for the Tennessee Titans, former Georgia tight end and projected top-10 pick Brock Bowers says he has, in fact, met with Tennessee's team.
"It went good, I thought," Bowers said of his Titans meeting from the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday. "Just answering those core questions and watching film. Just letting them know about my football knowledge."
Speaking with Pro Football Talk ahead of the Super Bowl, Bowers said unprompted he'd be "all right" with being drafted by the Titans. A Napa, California, native, Bowers spent three years playing his college football in the South and said he likes the area in Georgia and Tennessee, thinking it would be cool to continue playing in the region.

Asked about those comments at the combine, Bowers clarified that he just liked living in the area for college and would enjoy living in a city with a good reputation.
"I just kind of mentioned it as a cool place to live," Bowers said Thursday. "Nashville, Tennessee, would be cool."
The Titans have the No. 7 pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Coach Brian Callahan and general manager Ran Carthon both indicated earlier in the week that the Titans are in the market for a pass catching threat and view other positions of need such as offensive tackle and wide receiver to be among the deepest positions in the draft class.
The Titans have used mid-round draft picks on tight ends each of the past two years, picking Chig Okonkwo in 2022 and Josh Whyle in 2023.
