Georgia TE Brock Bowers says he'd 'be all right with going' to Tennessee Titans in NFL draft

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers said Wednesday on NBC's "Pro Football Talk" that the Tennessee Titans would be a preferred destination in the NFL draft if he had his choice.

The two-time Mackey Award winner and three-time All America honoree is expected to be the first tight end selected in April's draft. Most mock draft experts have Bowers landing somewhere in the top 15 — and as high as No. 5 to the Chargers. Tennessee currently owns the No. 7 overall selection.

"Whoever wants to take me. It's hard to say," Bowers said when asked about his preferred team. "I'd be all right with going to the Tennessee Titans. I liked it down in the Georgia (and) Tennessee area. I thought it was cool. That would be a cool spot."

Bowers, from Napa, California, declared for the draft after one of the best careers a tight end has ever had in college football. In three seasons with Georgia, he totaled 2,538 receiving yards and 26 touchdown catches along with five touchdown rushes. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, he lined up inside and outside in Georgia's offense as the focal point of the passing game.

Georgia won two national titles and lost just two games in Bowers' three-year career, both in SEC Championship Games to Alabama.

Only seven tight ends have been selected in the top 10 in the NFL draft since 1981.
