Bills starting linebacker leaves with injury against Dolphins on Thursday Night Football
The Bills have a major problem on their hands against the Miami Dolphins as linebacker Terrel Bernard has left the field with a pectoral muscle injury and his return to the game is questionable.
There are perhaps three players that the Bills simply can’t afford to be without on defense. Bernard, linebacker Matt Milano and nickel cornerback Taron Johnson.
All three are currently out, Milano for months, Johnson for weeks, and now Bernard, the team’s leading tackler in 2023.
Baylon Spector has taken over for Bernard, playing next to Dorian Williams, a player the Bills don’t trust to have on the field for passing situations. So, just like late last year when Bernard got hurt and joined Milano on the sidelines, the Bills are trying to piece things together, and no, AJ Klein is no longer on speed dial.
