Bengals injury updates are good news, perhaps except for Tee Higgins
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor provided some key injury updates coming out of his team's Week 10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Beyond providing an update on Joe Burrow, Taylor also commented on the statuses of offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and wideout Tee Higgins.
There, Taylor said that Brown was "really close" to playing before Cody Ford wound up starting at left tackle. As for Higgins, he said there's "good progress" but also doesn't want to be premature with anything he says.
Brown tried to play through the injury recently before leaving and not returning, so it makes sense that he would be on the way back already.
Higgins is a much trickier subject, though. The quad injury suffered running routes during a Friday practice has cost him three games, while a different soft-tissue injury cost him games to start the season, too.
Given Taylor's comments and the general tricky nature of soft-tissue injuries, Higgins suiting up against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 feels like a toss-up at this point.
While the Bengals didn't put him on injured reserve, there's a decent chance they rest him in Week 11, which would extend into the Week 12 bye before this conversation starts again.
