NHLer Josh Anderson's wife, Paola, shares photos from their dreamy Italian wedding: 'Married my favourite person'
The Montréal-based physiotherapist and Burlington, Ont.-born hockey player marred in an outdoor ceremony in Puglia, Italy.
Paola Anderson (formerlyFinizio) has shared more details from her dreamy Italian wedding to Montreal Canadiens right winger, Josh Anderson. On Thursday, Anderson took to Instagram to share her favourite photos from her June 26th nuptials, a colourful ceremony at the rustic Masseria Don Luigi, in Brindisi, a city in the southern region of Puglia, Italy.
“Married my favourite person in my favourite place in the world,” Anderson captioned a set of photos by Italian wedding photographer, Marilisa Spinazzola.
In a series of three separate posts, Anderson shared photos from the entire day and a look into her three wardrobe changes. For the outdoor ceremony, the physiotherapist opted for a strapless Ines Di Santo gown with detachable ballgown skirt that transitioned into an A-line gown look for the dinner portion of the reception.
"Forever with you," she captioned portraits of the couple taken during golden hour.
After an outdoor dinner, the couple and their guests enjoyed a champagne toast while cutting their three-tiered cake. The bride opted for a silk halter gown to dance the night away while Josh ditched his shirt to celebrate, drink in hand, wearing only his trousers and suit jacket.
The picture perfect photos earned praise for the Montréal-based physiotherapist and Burlington, Ont.-born athlete.
“The most beautiful bride,” one person wrote.
"The most stunning couple,” another agreed.
“This is beyond perfect,” a follower wrote.
Italy is a special place for the couple; the pair became engaged during a holiday to the Puglia region in May 2023.
"My person, forever! The most perfect night in my forever happy place. Here's to a lifetime of loving you," Anderson captioned the with her then-fiancé.
In November 2023, Anderson headed to New York City for a joint bachelorette weekend alongside fellow partners of Montreal Canadiens players ,including Emma Fortin (now married to Brendan Gallagher), Emily Flat (now married to Jake Evans) and Joel Edmundson's fiancée, Ebony.
Anderson shared a carousel of images from the weekend, including a candid snap featuring the quartet of brides-to-be wearing matching white looks with the caption: "Celebrating our fiancée era with the best."
