Montreal Canadiens player Josh Anderson and Paola Finizio get married in Italian ceremony: 'A dream day'
The couple got married in Puglia, Italy, which was where they got engaged last May.
Love is in the air for Josh Anderson and Paola Finizio.
The Montreal Canadiens right winger and his stunning bride tied the knot in a ceremony in Puglia, Italy, last weekend. Their photographer shared a gorgeous Instagram Reel, giving fans a glimpse into their unforgettable day.
Finizio, who's a physiotherapist, looked gorgeous wearing three different ensembles for the wedding. She started with a white strapless A-line high-low dress featuring a sweetheart neckline. For the ceremony, she swapped into a strapless gown with a sweetheart bustier-style neckline, a fitted skirt and a thigh-high slit. Her final look for the reception was a sleek white satin halter dress with an open back.
"What a dream day for [Josh Anderson] and [Paola Finizio]. They flew from Canada to Puglia with family and many friends to give shape to their dream! After so many preparations, the dream came true!" the photographer penned in the caption. "He is a hockey player for the Canadian national team and she is a physiotherapist. Surrounded by many friends and Italian-Canadian families, they made the Itria valley vibrate with the sound of beats and laughter!"
The couple announced their engagement in May 2023 with a heartfelt Instagram post. At the time, Finizio shared a carousel of candid photos from Anderson's proposal — which also took place in Puglia, Italy — and a selfie showing off her stunning engagement ring.
"My person, forever! The most perfect night in my forever happy place. Here's to a lifetime of loving you," she captioned the post.
In November 2023, Finizio gave fans a glimpse into her bachelorette weekend in New York City. The celebration was a joint affair with fellow partners of Montreal Canadiens stars, including Emma Fortin (engaged to Brendan Gallagher), Emily Flat (engaged to Jake Evans) and Joel Edmundson's fiancée Ebony.
Finizio kicked off the Instagram carousel with a candid snap featuring the quartet of brides-to-be wearing matching white looks: "Celebrating our fiancée era with the best," Finizio captioned the snaps.
In May 2024, Finizio hosted a second bachelorette party weekend in Miami. She took to Instagram with a photo dump documenting the festivities alongside her bridal party.
In the caption, Finizio shared how thankful she was for her friends, dubbing the weekend one to remember: "Couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect bachelorette trip, the most unforgettable weekend! To my girls, thank you for being the best friends a girl could ask for. Time to get married," she wrote.
