Cara Delevingne's Micro-Bangs Are Going to Be Winter's Coolest Hair Trend
Going into the colder months with a bang.
If you're hoping to switch it up at your next hair appointment with some bold bangs, bring a photo of Cara Delevingne's latest chop as inspiration, because the model just debuted some new fringe that is bound to be winter's hottest hair trend.
Over the weekend, the model—along with many other A-listers—attended the 2024 LACMA Art+Film Gala with a pair of Audrey Hepburn-approved baby bangs. She paired the micro-fringe—which were styled alongside a bun—with a black backless asymmetric Gucci gown with a giant midsection cutout and a long, dramatic cape sleeve on the other side. Her accessories included diamond drop earrings and a collection of matching rings, and a sharp winged liner and a mauve lip rounded out her glam.
It's no secret that bangs are having a moment—thanks to Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift. But Delevingne's fringe is the perfect winter chop for the risk taker who's looking to, quite literally, up the ante.
Bumble and bumble hairstylist Erickson Arrunategui previously told InStyle that the reason baby bangs work on just about anyone is because they're more likely to lay flat than longer fringe.
"With longer bangs, there's more length for them to get unruly," Arrunategui explained. "For a punk look, you can go shorter which would take the hair higher above the brow. But if you don't want that much of a statement, ask for bangs that hit at the center of the forehead."
Delevingne is no stranger to making bold statements with her hair. Over the years, she's sported long waves, a platinum buzzcut, and everything between. One of her most famous hair moments took place at the 2017 Met Gala, when Delevingne arrived to the steps with a metallic silver 'do painted onto her head.
