Canadian NHLer Alexandre Carrier and Alicia Lessard marry in romantic vineyard wedding
The 27-year-old Nashville Predators defenceman and Lessard, a family physician, began dating in 2015.
Canadian NHL player Alexandre Carrier and Dr. Alicia Lessard are officially married. On Sunday, the Nashville Predators defenceman and Lessard shared photos from their July 13th wedding at Château Ste-Agnès, a vineyard in Sutton, Que.
“Grateful to call you my wife,” the 27-year-old athlete captioned his post to Instagram.
In a separate post, Lessard, also 27, shared portraits of the couple, their wedding party and photo of their dreamy outdoor reception.
“Grateful,” Lessard’s caption began before including a message to wedding photographer Francis Fraioli: “Eternally grateful for your mind-blowing talent.”
Following their wedding, the couple jetted to the South of France for their honeymoon.
Carrier and Lessard, who began dating in 2015, have been engaged since July 2022. The Québec City-born hockey player popped the question to the family physician with a beachside proposal.
“A thousand times yes! Biggest and best surprise of my entire life, I love you so so much. For freakin' ever!” Lessard captioned her Instagram post announcing the news.
The Canadian couple divides their time between Montréal and Nashville. On July 1, it was announced that Carrier had re-signed with the Nashville Predators for a three-year $11.25 million contract.
Lessard co-owns a family medicine practice in Côte-St-Luc, Québec. In July 2023, Lessard completed her family medicine residency through McGill University. In 2019, Lessard made headlines when she and two of her classmates lobbied the Quebec provincial government to provide free menstrual hygiene products in Quebec schools.
