Certain snacks seem to solely exist within the confines of my grandmother’s snack drawer: Tins of Bauducco Butter Cookies, (often expired) Werther’s Hard Caramel Candies, boxes of Raisin Bran, and, of course, classic Club Crackers. Although those buttery-salty crackers sometimes felt like they should be in the medicine cabinet rather than the cupboard, given how frequently they were offered to me for stomach aches or nausea. Still, they’ve been a mainstay in my (and my grandma’s) lives for decades.

In addition to soothing various ailments, Club Crackers were always served alongside soups, stews, and sandwiches throughout my childhood. There’s something about them that’s just so nostalgic. Truthfully I really only ever think of them in the context of my grandma, that is, until I learned about an all-new flavor: Club Minis Cinnamon Sugar Crackers. For research’s sake, of course, I had snagged a box for myself to see how they compare to the originals.

What You Should Know About Club Minis Cinnamon Sugar Crackers

When I heard about the launch of Club Minis Cinnamon Sugar Crackers, I had two distinct thoughts: First, Club Crackers now come in mini sizes?! Second, they come in multiple flavors?! As a kid, I only ever knew this brand as the classic, no-frills buttery snack, so it was a surprise to see that a new cinnamon sugar minis flavor, to say the least.

After the initial shock, I can now say that it makes sense. The brand has been around since the 1800s and is now owned by Kellogg’s. After a bit of research I also found out that the brand has original Mini Club Crackers and even Club Cracker Crisps in various flavors, like Sour Cream and Onion and Ranch (that I’m going to have to try next!).

But regarding the latest launch, Club Minis Cinnamon Sugar Crackers are part of the brand’s limited-time holiday collection and feature mini crackers that are coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture. They began rolling out on shelves nationwide earlier this month and can be purchased in an 11-ounce box at Walmart, Amazon, and Instacart. I’m unsure exactly how long they’ll be on shelves, but my best guess is through the rest of this year (unless they sell out sooner).

My Honest Review of Club Minis Cinnamon Sugar Crackers

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that the crackers didn’t come in a sleeve (like the classic Club Crackers do) but instead a bag — similar to a bag that’s inside of a box of Cheez-Its. I marveled at how small they are, so small that I grabbed a box of the original crackers to compare them for myself (they’re about four times smaller). After my brief technical observations I went in to grab a handful to try them out for myself.

Wow! These crackers are GOOD. They maintain the same flaky, buttery taste of the O.G. crackers in their miniature size with the much-appreciated addition of cinnamon and sugar. The cinnamon-sugar topping dusts each cracker so you get that punch of warm sweetness in every bite, but it’s not overwhelmingly sweet (the butter flavor really shines through!). It’s really a dessert lover’s dream snack (aka, mine). And more importantly, I’m confident my grandma would love them, too.
