We know there are a lot of good Ford Mustang drivers out there – we know some personally. But there’s definitely a portion of them who just suck at handling any vehicle, like this one who manages to crash a Ferrari 488 Pista through sheer incompetence.

Ford Mustang splits in half in horror crash.

The footage of this crash was posted to YouTube with the claim the Ferrari driver is test driving the exotic Italian and owns a Mustang. That’s all the information we get and we can’t verify it, so some will want to believe that and others won’t. We’re just taking it with a grain of salt.

Our camera car is recording as the red Ferrari accelerates some after it’s cruising on the road somewhere in Europe. That tap of the accelerator causes the 488 Pista to pull to the left, toward the median divider.

Panicking about that, the driver overcorrects, yanking the steering wheel to the right so hard the Ferrari careens all the way onto the grassy shoulder, then collides nose-first with a fence. If that’s not bad enough, the vehicle spins around, hitting a tree trunk. Ouch.

You can hear a slight giggle from the person recording the crash. Since this wasn’t a dashcam but obviously a cellphone, this person knew something bad was going to happen.

We have questions which won’t be answered. What kind of Mustang does the driver own? If it’s an EcoBoost or an old V6 model, well that explains everything. If it’s a GT or a Shelby, this guy should’ve known how to handle torque steer better.

Should or does are two different things as we’ve seen a number of Mustang GTs crashed in similar fashion.

Since this took place in Europe somewhere, we really wonder about the Mustang component of the story. It’s probably a joke
