Yahoo Autos Ferrari Unveils $3.9-Million F80 Supercar, Already Sold Out

Ferrari has officially unveiled its latest supercar, the limited-edition F80, priced at $3.9 million. Despite the high price tag, the exclusive model has already sold out, with demand far surpassing its limited production run of just 799 units. Each of these cars has been pre-assigned to a specific buyer, leaving many hopefuls disappointed.
The F80 is Ferrari’s latest in a line of supercars that appear once a decade, showcasing cutting-edge technological innovations. With this new release, Ferrari is combining features from Endurance racing and Formula 1, reinforcing its legacy of automotive excellence. Notably, the F80 is powered by a 1,200-horsepower hybrid engine—a six-cylinder, three-liter marvel that shares its architecture with Ferrari’s World Endurance Championship cars, which secured victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in recent years.
One of the standout features of the F80 is its asymmetric seating arrangement, where the driver’s seat is positioned slightly ahead of the passenger seat. This, coupled with advanced technology like active suspension, 3D-printed metal parts, and racing brake pads, sets the F80 apart as the most expensive road car Ferrari has ever produced.
With a top speed of 350 km/h and butterfly doors, the F80 is as much a performance machine as it is a status symbol. Ferrari’s Chief Marketing Officer, Enrico Galliera, expressed the company's regret in having to turn away potential buyers due to the overwhelming demand, which exceeded three times the planned output.
The F80 will begin deliveries in late 2024, with production expected to run through 2027, marking Ferrari’s 80th anniversary.
