The Audi RS6 Avant GT Will Cost Almost $200,000Audi

Back in February, Audi revealed an RS6 Avant variant that took inspiration from its championship-winning IMSA GTO days. That car, dubbed the RS6 Avant GT, was faster, quicker, and more limited in production than the "basic" super-wagon. Naturally, it was also expected to be more expensive than the standard car. Now that Audi has revealed its price for the American market, we know that it will in fact be far more expensive.

The 2025 RS6 Avant GT starts at $198,900. The RS6 Avant Performance, meanwhile, starts at $127,895, but that's after the $1295 destination and handling fee Audi levies on every car these days; assuming that will also be applied to the Avant GT, the hyper-wagon will actually start at $200,195. An A6 Avant Allroad starts at $70,500, so the GT is effectively one whole extra A6 wagon more expensive than its regular RS6 Avant counterpart.

The price difference is massive, but the changes are not as substantial as you might hope. The basic RS6 Avant GT is on par with the RS6 Avant Performance in output, with both reaching 621 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. The biggest change is a unique standard suspension — an adjustable coilover setup with three-way adjustable dampers. That, plus standard carbon ceramics and a unique center differential tuning, make the car a more serious performance weapon than its predecessor.

The other major changes come outside the car. All American cars will be optioned with a white wrap inspired by the brand's IMSA livery, complete with blocky "Avus" wheels finished in a glossy white. A unique rear wing is also a highlight, a design that pays tribute to the massive stacked wing on the brand's historic race cars. Other markets have more conservative design options available, but Audi opted to keep the cars coming to the the U.S. as audacious as possible.

660 examples of the RS6 Avant GT are slated to be built over a limited production run, but Audi says that only 85 will be sold in America. That limited output helps justify the price; still, the gap between a standard RS6 Avant Performance and an RS6 Avant GT still seems hard to justify.
