Ferrari’s legendary durability and dedication to quality have led to a remarkable statistic: over 90% of Ferraris ever built are still roadworthy today. Andrea Scioletti, head of Ferrari’s pre-owned division, revealed this impressive figure during an interview with Australia’s Drive, highlighting Ferrari’s long-term commitment to keeping its vehicles operational. With more than 300,000 Ferraris produced since the brand’s inception, this statistic reflects both the enduring quality of the cars and Ferrari’s support for preserving older models.

For many new Ferrari customers, the pre-owned market is the entry point, especially given the long wait times for new models. Ferrari’s certified pre-owned program, known as Ferrari Approved, aims to maintain the brand’s prestige in the used market. This program, available for vehicles up to 16 years old or with 74,565 miles, includes both mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning, bringing each vehicle up to Ferrari’s high standards.

Ferrari goes beyond typical pre-owned support with programs tailored to different eras of its vehicles. The Ferrari Premium maintenance program caters to models between 10 and 20 years old, ensuring these modern classics are well-maintained. For vintage models, the Ferrari Classiche program certifies older cars, and in partnership with Pirelli, Ferrari has even developed new tires specifically for classic supercars, providing owners with authentic yet updated options.

Ferrari’s comprehensive infrastructure and support for its vehicles have fueled a passionate market for vintage models. Classic Ferraris remain some of the most valuable collector cars in the world. Last year, even a damaged 1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial Spider Series I fetched $1.8 million at auction, illustrating the intense demand for any piece of Ferrari history. This dedication to quality, combined with robust maintenance programs, ensures that Ferraris will continue to turn heads on the road for decades to come.
