2025 Acura ADX debuts as brand’s smallest luxury crossover
For years, Acura has been competing in the compact crossover space with the RDX against rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. However, both of the Germans offer an even smaller crossover to give buyers a lower cost of entry into the luxury brand and now Acura has followed suit.
The 2025 ADX is the all-new model from Acura and their reply to the Germans. Mike Langel, assistant vice president of Acura National Sales, says the ADX "will hit the heart of the premium compact SUV segment, which has grown significantly over the past few years."

Flanking the brand's signature Diamond Pentagon grille, it boasts a laundry list of premium features as standard to go with Acura’s typically edgy design language that showcases sharp angles, LED lighting, and a wide stance. Backing its sporty appearance is a 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC inline-4 engine and sport-tuned independent suspension on all four corners. Just like the Honda Civic-based Integra, the HR-V-based ADX relies on a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for movement.
Only the best of Honda trim meshes well with Acura's vibe
Singing a familiar tune, the cabin is a mix of Honda parts and Acura materials to boost the ADX’s appeal. This is highlighted by Acura’s optional A-Spec package, which offers even more visual pop with black wheels, bold paint colors, and Ultrasuede perforated leather seat. Six paint options are offered including Adriatic Sea Blue Metallic, a new color for Acura that's exclusively available to the ADX.
Buyers can take advantage of Honda's versatility with 60/40-split rear seatbacks. Acura claims top-class cargo volume with up to 55 cubic feet of cargo room with the second row folded down. Should you keep the second row up, expect up to 24.4 cubes behind the seats. A powered tailgate allows easy access thanks to a low lift-over height of just 27 inches.

The 2025 Acura ADX is packed with value
A 9-inch touchscreen display is standard, as well as a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster Acura calls Precision cockpit. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, as is a Qi-supported wireless smartphone charger.
In addition, the ADX includes 5G connectivity, an 8-speaker Acura Premium Sound system, 18-inch wheels, a moonroof, the power tailgate with Walk Away Close, a suite of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies dubbed AcuraWatch, a moonroof, dual-zone climate controls, and heated front seats. All-wheel-drive is available as an option.
Stepping up to the ADX A-Spec stretches the moonroof to a panoramic one, along with ventilated front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, rear-seat USB-C charging ports, 4-way power adjustable passenger seat, a cargo cover, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Finally, the top-trimmed A-Spec with Advance Package upgrades the ADX with a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo, parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, remote engine start, rain-sensing wipers, 12-way power driver’s seat with memory and lumbar support, a heated steering wheel, and power-folding side mirrors.

Final thoughts
The 2025 Acura ADX looks to be a promising crossover but it faces stiff competition in the sub-compact crossover class from the BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40. In a crowded field, Acura is bringing loads of value with a dose of style to help the ADX stand out.
Pricing has not yet been announced but Acura is targeting a base sticker somewhere in the mid-$30,000s. The 2025 ADX should arrive in dealerships early next year.
