Remember Wannabe by the Spice Girls? We’re kidding - of course you do.

A remake of the music video has emerged to push for women’s rights and gender equality, and has been shared by Victoria Beckham herself.

Made by United Nation’s initiative The Global Goals, it features girls from all over the world singing along to the song.

Most importantly, a series of messages also pop up throughout the video highlighting what women really want in order to achieve equality.

First, young women from Mumbai dance in the street in Spice Girl-inspired outfits in front of a banner reading ‘end violence against girls’.

In the next scene young Muslim girls dance in a classroom, the camera panning to a blackboard which reads ‘quality education for girls’.

Next in Cape Town, South Africa, local women dance in the street where ‘end child marriage’ is spray painted onto a wall nearby.

And finally, in the last scene - which is similar to the original music video - five girls dance on a staircase in a London hotel, run onto the street then hop on a bus with ‘equal pay for equal work’ on it.

At the end, the video says to “share a picture of #WhatIReallyReallyWant and we’ll pass it to world leaders at the United Nations in September”.

Just hours after the video went live, Victoria Beckham shared a handwritten note on Instagram to show her support.

It read: “#WhatIReallyReallyWant is no more girls dying of HIV. X VB.”

Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm have also posted the video on their Instagrams.
