Victoria Beckham Ditches The Lob For XXL Extensions And They're The Ultimate Noughties WAG Throwback
After years of sporting her same brunette lengths, it now seems Victoria Beckham can't be stopped when it comes to hair transformations. It wasn't long ago the pop star-turned-fashion designer made headlines by swapping her long-lived hip-grazing lengths for a much shorter, ‘Posh Spice’ inspired 'lob' (and millennials everywhere rejoiced). It's been merely days and it seems she's changing things up again ion the hair department – this time with a killer set of hair extensions.
Over the weekend, Beckham took to Instagram to unveil the latest Victoria Beckham Beauty campaign, sharing two behind-the-scenes shots of herself in a skin-tight black bodysuit with a daring deep V-neck.

But for the ELLE UK beauty team, naturally, it was her rich chocolate hair extensions and vinyl-like shine that truly stole the spotlight. The length of the hair cascades just below her ribs and is styled into a bouffant-inspired half-updo, with soft tendrils framing her face.
It's a considerable change up from VB's recent chop, which many hoped would be a permanent fixture in her beauty aesthetic given how chic and flattering the length was on the mother-of-four. But if there's one thing we're taking from her latest transformation, it's that braving the chop doesn’t have to be as limiting and permanent as it seems.
Entering the playful arena of hair extensions allows for near-endless style possibilities, letting you try different looks on for size and keep more than one style in rotation at once. 'It's a great, low commitment style that you can wear and take out for as little, or as long of a time period as you’d like, giving [you] a whole wealth of options,' says Katy Grimshaw, founder of Spectrum One Hair Extensions.
For example, while Beckham's lob with blonde balayage exudes sophistication and glamour, her uber-long monochromatic extensions offer the best of both worlds.
Of course, this isn’t Beckham’s first time wearing hair extensions. Look back to her iconic 2000s WAG era and you’ll see her sporting a very similar style to today, whether at the 2003 Met Gala with voluminous curls or casually straight under a baseball cap (complete with an England tank-top). It’s no surprise this style icon can effortlessly pull off any look.
