Tyla's skirt at the Victoria's Secret after party was made entirely of bras
While nothing will ever top the time she arrived at the Met Gala in a moulded dress made out of sand, Tyla once again caused jaws to drop at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She stepped out in an array of lingerie-inspired and actual lingerie 'fits throughout the evening, from arriving on the pink carpet to performing on the runway.
But the best of the bunch? Her after-party look. A white lace-trimmed bra with a white satin mini skirt seemingly made out of more white bras. It's giving Julia Fox's boxer maxi skirt. Tyla paired her outfit with white lace mules to keep the lingerie theme going, as well as throwing on a colourful faux fur jacket.
Tyla performed her songs “Water" and "PUSH 2 START" during the show, wearing a lace lingerie set and matching garter on the runway – with giant angel wings, obviously.
Meanwhile, she wore a hot pink aughts-inspired dress from Salih Balta on the carpet, which she accessorized with a diamond choker and belly ring.
Tyla spoke to Harper's Bazaar ahead of the VS show and revealed she's always been a huge fan. “Literally, I would always watch Victoria's Secret fashion shows on loop. I was obsessed with watching it and watching the people film. There was a time where I actually thought, ‘Hey, let me just be a Victoria's Secret Angel one day.’ But my father said absolutely not. I love the show so much – the fashion and the music and how fun it is. It's not as serious as other runway shows and it just feels very fun to now be a part of.”
She also chatted about working with the brand on her performance outfit, saying, “We created something that would tie in with the show, something that would be nice for me to perform in. It's very glitzy and it's kind of different to what I'm used to. But I really like it. It's something different and really elevated for me.”
