Trader Joe’s Best Bakery Item Is Dropping in a Festive New Flavor and We Need It Now
Because there's never enough holiday-inspired treats on the table.
When it comes to the holidays, traditional recipes often reign supreme. There's a reason why dishes like orange-glazed ham and beef Wellington appear on the holiday table spread year after year. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." That makes adding a store-bought dish to the table kind of risky. It takes something exceptional, one that is not only delicious but also visually stunning.
Enter the Kringle: a buttery, oval-shaped pastry so special that it shares a name with the jolly man himself. It's no secret that the O & H Danish Bakery Kringles found at Trader Joe's bakery section are exceptionally good. Just look at the recent Pumpkin Kringle, which fans loved so much that the chain had to limit how many customers could buy. Then there's the Almond Kringle, which has garnered such a cult following there are entire threads dedicated to its popularity.
O & H has been in the Kringle business for 75 years so it’s no surprise it’s one of the best. The family business doesn’t cut corners, leaning into traditional preparation methods that span over three days to make each 36-layer Kringle. Now, the bakery is launching a new Danish Kringle flavor and if it’s anything like the others, it’s sure to be a hit.
O & H Danish Bakery's “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas” Kringle
The “I’m Dreaming of A White Christmas” Kringle is the newest addition to O & H’s successful lineup. According to the bakery’s press release, the new Kringle is inspired by the magic of the holiday season. It features a sweet vanilla filling encased in flaky pastry and topped with a layer of creamy vanilla bean frosting and speckles of citrus zest. The Kringle is garnished with silver and white sprinkles for a festive presentation that won’t steal the show of your dinner spread, but will certainly catch the eyes of your guests.
You can order the new “I’m Dreaming of A White Christmas” Kringles online, starting on Nov. 1. For those wanting to grab one in person, Kringles are expected to hit shelves at various stores nationwide on Dec. 2 and will be available through the end of the year. It's unclear whether Trader Joe's will deck its aisles with the new Kringle, but we are holding out hope.
