BBC Morning Live's Gethin Jones issued warning by co-star over comment
Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones was given a stern warning by his colleague Rhys Stephenson as they discussed "stockings" on the BBC show.
Gethin and his co-host Helen Skelton were back for another instalment on Tuesday (November 19), providing viewers with useful tips on money and health. But when the pair discussed Christmas presents, Gethin appeared to steer the show in a different direction.
Discussing festive gifts, Helen told Rhys that he should give his wife something extravagant as they spend their first Christmas together. She said: "Can somebody tell Rhys as your first Christmas as a married man, 20 quid in a card- not appropriate."
Explaining that the pressure is high this year, Rhys said: "It's not just out first Christmas as a married couple, it's our first Christmas together.

"We never did it as we were with our different families," he added: "She wants stockings as well, the pressure is high this year."
Interrupting his trail of thought, Gethin said jokingly: "When you say stockings..."
Rhys interjected and yelled: "Christmas stockings Gethin! Sweets and stuff, it's a daytime show!"
Gethin retorted: "Because that would be a nice gift, that's all I'm saying," before moving on to a different segment in the show.
Earlier this year, Strictly Come Dancing star Rhys shared he had secretly tied the knot with his now wife, Beth.
The CBBC presenter shared a sweet video on social media during their ceremony.
In the short clip, the pair could be seen completing their handshake just moments before their big moment.
Captioning the sweet moment, Rhys wrote on Instagram: "When your friend @rachsilvester secretly catches you doing your pre-wedding handshake with your new wife," followed by a laughing emoji.
They also shared selfies on social media and a joint post which read: "Yesterday I married my best friend. Thank you all for the most beautiful messages and all the love. We couldn’t have asked for a wedding more magical and special, love the Stephensons."
Morning Live airs weekdays at 9:30am on BBC One.
