Sophie Hermann refused to work with one Made in Chelsea star when she returned to show
After three years away from the E4 series, Sophie Hermann is returning to Made in Chelsea to bring a new injection of drama. However, the German socialite has revealed that she agreed to re-join the cast on one condition - that she didn't have to work with a particular MIC star.
The 37-year-old made her Made in Chelsea debut in 2013 and from accusing Maeva D'Ascanio of "spitting" on her mink to telling Jamie Laing that he went from "caviar to catfish" by dating Sophie Habboo, she quickly became the queen of one-liners. Now she's back on the show and in an exclusive interview with OK! , admits that she refused to film scenes with Maeva in the new series.
"I’m not filming with people who spat on my mink. No mink spitters,” said Sophie, who frequently clashed with Maeva on the show before her departure. “It’s in my contract. Grandma’s mink is getting out unscathed this time.”
Sophie will be reuniting with best friends Ollie and Gareth Locke on the series, as well as Ruby Adler, Miles Nazaire and Olivia Bentley - who is also back in a minor role on the show after quitting earlier this year. "I filmed with Ruby and Miles [Nazaire] and it’s fun to see how they’ve developed over the last three years – they’ve definitely grown up a little bit," she said.
"I’m a godmother to [Ollie and Gareth's daughter] Cosima, so I’ve been showering the babies with everything that a practical parent wouldn’t buy. ‘Would you like a Victorian swimming costume? I can make that happen." She added: "It’s a lot of fun – and fashion! I’d been seeing a lot of polyester and Lycra on the show and I wasn’t sure if this was Love Island or Made In Chelsea so I had to come back and rectify it."

This series sees Sophie head to a speed dating event with Ruby, with the star admitting that dating in London is a struggle. "Dating has changed so much. Something happened to men. I want to be protected, I want an alpha. It’s very hard to find someone with bigger balls than me,” she said. “I am still looking for that person and it’s not a lack of offers – it’s what’s on the menu. I didn’t stay alone for this long to then settle for something that’s not enough.
"I am still like Rapunzel, waiting in her tower with her Russian extension piece to throw down. I’m a hopeless romantic and I do think that my person is out there,” she adds. “Dating is hell, especially in a big town like London.”
