'Sex and the City' stars reunite at glamorous New York charity gala
The Sex and the City cast enjoyed a team night out for a charity gala in New York this week.
And Just Like That… co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon reunited off the set for the annual God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards, held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in Manhattan.
Parker stayed true to her usual theatrical style in a black lace midi dress, with a sweetheart neckline, see-through sleeves and scalloped detailing at the shoulders. The Michael Kors Collection dress was cinched at the waist with a thick black belt, dotted with small crystals that led to the large crystal-covered oval buckle at the centre. The actress finished her look with black peep-toe heels from Gianvito Rossi and a bejewelled purse, plus a single diamond stud on one ear and a wing-shaped silver earring on the other – with various rings to match.
Davis meanwhile wore a silky black midi dress with a V neckline and a black beaded belt – also by Michael Kors, who is the founder of God's Love We Deliver. She further elevated the look with a diamond necklace made to resemble shimmery flowers strung together, and diamond studs.
Rounding up the trio of Michael Kors looks, Nixon opted for elegance, slipping into a lacy silver minidress over which she layered a grey blazer. She cinched the outerwear with a thin grey belt and co-ordinated with pointed pumps in a similar shade. The actress carried a metallic clutch and added layered tennis necklaces and silver chandelier earrings.
The new season of And Just Like That is currently being filmed in New York. As with the original Sex and the City series and films, fashion plays an integral part in the show. Costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago explained that Carrie would be re-wearing items from her famous wardrobe, as well as adopting plenty of vintage finds, as a reflection of the times and the fashion industry's renewed focus on sustainability.
