Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rumoured to announce engagement on August 4
Rumours surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle occur every single day.
But the latest one is quite believable.
The pair are rumoured to announce their engagement on August 4. Although Harry is yet to officially pop the question, a royal source has told The Mail that “there is an understanding.”
So why August 4? The date might’ve been plucked out of thin air, but it does seem to make sense.
After all, an announcement is sure to overshadow any other important events. This means, if they are to get engaged, that Harry and Meghan will most likely wait until after the general election on June 8, the State Opening of Parliament on June 19, and the state visit of King Felipe of Spain (July 12-14).
Conveniently, August 4 is also Meghan’s 36th birthday, making it the perfect date for the couple to announce their intention to marry.
The 32-year-old royal has been dating the 35-year-old actress for almost a year. They were expected to make their official public debut at Pippa Middleton’s wedding on Saturday.
Instead, Meghan only attended the private evening reception with no images being released.
The star of legal drama Suits is expected to move away from acting and relocate from Toronto to Kensington Palace this summer, where she’s already stayed on a number of occasions.
Meghan is still yet to meet the Queen; a very important step in the marriage process.
