Pete Wicks' adorable nickname for Strictly's Jowita Prystal revealed after loved-up display
Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita Przystal took to the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards with her celebrity partner and TOWIE star Pete Wicks where she revealed his pet name for her - and addressed those romance rumours.
Whilst talking about her stunning black and white dress designed by Chow Chow, Jowita revealed Pete’s adorable nickname for her had a part to play in her outfit choice. She revealed: “Pete calls me petal, like a flower petal, so the dress is inspired by flowers. I’m happy because he’s having time off training so he can enjoy time off dancing, he’s doing very well. We trained today morning.”
Whilst chatting on the red carpet prior to the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday (21 October), Jowita also addressed the romance rumours that had been brewing. Denying there's a relationship between them, the dancer put it down to one thing, she said: “I think it’s part of the thing - we have very good chemistry as friends and we really get on well with each other and we have so much fun together and dancing is like acting, we’re telling the story every Saturday night and I think we do a really good job with that.

“It’s better that way than the other, right? We’re very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother. I think we’re going to stay friends for life.”
Pete isn’t the only new man in Jowita’s life thanks to the competition, she’s also gotten to know Pete’s best mate, Sam Thompson very well. Talking about Sam, who continues to support them during weekly rehearsals, Jowita confessed: “Sam is my favourite! I honestly love when he comes around, he’s such a ray of sunshine.
"I always welcome him in, I adore this man. I think he and Pete have such a beautiful relationship. Their friendship is above and beyond, and to have him and his support - he supports Pete all the way, it's so lovely to see that.”
Over the past five weeks, Pete and Jowita have been slowly creeping up the leaderboard. In their very first dance, the pair only scored 17 points, but in the two latest shows, they scored a very respectable 29 and 22.
Jowita praised Pete for “taking the competition very seriously” and added that he “really wants to learn”. Jowita is putting the TOWIE star through his paces and said that every week he’s “proving he can dance”.
