This article contains spoilers for Nobody Wants This season one

Ever since we binge-watched Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in the new Netflix romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This, we've been left wanting more. And we're not the only ones who loved watching the relationship between "hot Rabbi" Noah (Brody) and sex & relationships podcaster Joanne (Bell) unfold.

Soon after its launch, Erin Foster’s semi-autobiographical series swiftly claimed the number one spot on Netflix's English TV List with 15.9 million views in its second week on the streaming service.

So, the question we're all asking is – will the hit series be returning for a second season? Well, we have great news for you because Netflix has officially announced that Nobody Wants This will be returning for series two.

Alongside a montage of series one clips shared on its official Instagram account, Netflix wrote: "Put down your ice cream🍦 Nobody Wants This is returning for season 2!"

Will there be a Nobody Wants This season 2?

Yes, we now officially know that a second series of Nobody Wants This is coming! That's right – the streaming service has confirmed that Brody and Bell's hugely popular rom-com will be coming back for more episodes.

We'd had high hopes anyway, given the show's success and comments from Foster, its creator, who recently shared that she was keen for the story to continue.

"I would love to do a Season 2; Kristen and Adam would love to do a Season 2," Foster said in an interview with The Wrap. "There’s so much more story to tell so if people like the show, then I would be really excited to keep telling it."

In an earlier interview with IndieWire, she added: "We're getting a really positive response," Foster explained. "And so I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season 2."

Nobody Wants This season 2: Plot

Following the romantic cliffhanger ending of season one, which saw Noah and Joanne decide to continue their relationship despite any opposition and lingering questions over whether she could ultimately convert to Judaism, it's likely that season two will pick up their story shortly after the final scene.

After all, with the ongoing drama surrounding their relationship, there's plenty more to be explored in potential new episodes. What will happen next for the couple? Only time will tell...

Talking about the potential season two plot before the renewal was confirmed, Foster added to IndieWire: "The story in Season 1 unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!"

Wait, does that mean a series three could also be on the cards? Yes, please.

Nobody Wants This season two: Cast

As well as Brody and Bell's Noah and Joanne, it's likely that the show's other much-loved duo – the "loser siblings" Morgan and Sasha, played by Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons – will be back for series two, as well as the wider cast who play Noah and Joanne's friends and families. However, at the time of writing no further information about the Nobody Wants This season two cast has been shared, so watch this space.

Nobody Wants This season two: Release date

While Netflix has now confirmed that a second series of Nobody Wants This will be happening, they've yet to reveal further details about a possible release date but we'll keep you posted.

We just want to say a big thank you to Netflix because, frankly, absolutely everybody wanted this!
