Mum reveals how to wrap irregular-shaped Christmas gifts in viral TikTok video
Shoppers have been encouraged to get ahead and buy Christmas presents early this year.
If you’ve already got a stash of gifts ready to wrap, whatever their shape, then a mother-of-two on TikTok is here to help you.
A video created by user @mama_mila has gone viral after she shared how to neatly package up irregularly-shaped items.
Using a toy Mickey Mouse as an example, she demonstrated how to use brown paper and a white ribbon to get the present ready to go under the tree.
Captioning the clip, the savvy Melbourne-based parent – who regularly shares DIY home hacks – revealed: “Here’s how to wrap gifts that are a harder shape.”
The video, which was posted to the festive sound of Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, has received more than four million views and over 397,000 ‘likes’ on the social media site.
Thanking her for sharing the tip, one person wrote: “This was a lifesaver.”
Another commented: “I love this!”

It comes as a Christmas dinner hack that involves cooking vegetables in the dishwasher has been shared on TikTok.
In a video, user @athomewithshannon explains the idea behind the unusual trick, which has caused quite a stir on the site.
The mum recommends placing the vegetables in mason jars, adding water, tightly securing the lids and running them on a normal dishwasher cycle.
Since being posted, the clip has been viewed more than 483,000 times and received over 16,000 ‘likes’.
However, not all viewers were convinced it is the most wise use of household energy.
One wrote: “Girl, boiling water in a pot don’t take that long.”
