Though we know we should appreciate our mothers all year round (and we do), Mother’s Day is a brilliant opportunity to really make sure she knows how much she cares.
Buying her something that will show we listen, we know her and we love her is no easy feat though.
Sure, she loves chocolates and flowers never fail to brighten someone’s day, but we thought we’d try something a little different this year.
So, we asked eight mums what their ideal Mother’s Day gift would be, and why, to help give you a few ideas as to what to buy your own.
You won’t find any clichés here. Just genuine, thoughtful gift ideas for the women to whom we owe it all.

Kate, 32: Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm | £40 from John Lewis & Partners

Polly, 61: Le Creuset Set | £240 from John Lewis & Partners
“I love cooking and had a Le Creuset set when I was first married and I fell in love with them because of the colours, shapes, styles and how modern they look. They lasted me for years, are very durable and I would love to add to my collection as I have lost some along the way.”
Laura, 31: Hunter Wellington Boots | From £59 from Amazon
“I would love a pair of wellies. My four-year-old son loves to be out and about walking and I tend to wear my oldest trainers. I buy my children new shoes but don't ever buy for myself!”
