This Morning star lands major TV role after failing to bag Holly Willoughby's job
This Morning's Josie Gibson is returning to TV with an exciting new project - however, it's not with ITV. The TV presenter is set to host a show on Channel 4 in the run up to Christmas after she wasn't chosen to take Holly Willoughby's spot on This Morning.
Holly left This Morning earlier this year and while relief presenter Josie Gibson was rumoured to be taking over her role, the job later went to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard. Josie went on to explain that as she lives outside of London - where This Morning is filmed - taking the job would have been difficult for her.
"If I lived in London I would have loved the job," she said. "But I don't live in London, I live [in Bath], and this is where I am, and this where my family is this, where my life is."

However, the former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star has bagged an exciting new role, hosting Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide on Channel 4. The two-part series is made in partnership with Smyths Toys and sees Josie bring together the best experts to recommend this year's hottest festive gifts.
From time-saving hacks and affordable buys to top of the range toys, the show will showcase ideas that aim to make the Christmas countdown as stress-free as possible. In a statement, Josie said: "I’m really excited to be back at Channel 4 where it all began to spread a bit of festive cheer. I absolutely love Christmas so hopefully this show will help take some of the stress out of Christmas with our ultimate gift guide. There's going to be a lot of festive laughs and some great guests along the way." The two-part series is set to air this December on Channel 4.
After tackling the I'm A Celebrity jungle last year and coming in fourth place, Josie recently spoke out about her time on the show - and admitted that she wouldn't have signed up if she knew how hard it would be. "I have a real spider phobia – which I probably should’ve sorted before I went in! I’d have enjoyed my time more if I hadn’t been so scared of them," she said in an exclusive chat with OK! .
Speaking about this year's line-up, Josie said: "Oti [Mabuse] – she’s a real girls’ girl and has a beautiful, protective spirit so I can see her being like the mum of the group. I love all the girls in there this year! Coleen Rooney, too, she’s also a girls’ girl and I love that."
