Melania Trump has been busy decorating the White House for her first Christmas.

And while the First Lady probably wanted to make the place feel warm and welcoming, her choice of decorations had the opposite effect.

Choosing white leafless trees with absolutely zero festive lights or baubles, the corridor of the White House looks like something out of a horror film once evening hits.

Social media took no time in creating meme upon meme, comparing Melania’s work to The Upside down from ‘Stranger Things’, ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and even ‘The Blair Witch Project’.

Others said Melania was simply reflecting the depressing mood of the country under her husband’s rule.
