Meghan Markle has worn jewellery 'worth £600,000' in just 18 months
The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly worn over £600,000 worth of jewellery in the past 18 months.
A conversation sparked over the cost of her expansive collection after the new mother debuted a new diamond ring at Trooping the Colour earlier this month.
Eagle eyed royal fans were quick to spot a £4,350 eternity ring on her wedding finger at the Queen’s birthday parade - a rumoured ‘push present’ from Prince Harry to celebrate the birth of their first child.
According to reports, the covetable ring is believed to have been made by the Queen’s personal jeweller, Harry Collins.
But the new addition is not the most expensive piece in her regal jewellery box, as the 37-year-old regularly wears items once owned by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
According to The Mail on Sunday, the former actress owns 91 items of jewellery with 35 pairs of earrings, 26 rings, 23 bracelets and seven necklaces in total.
“The royal family is one of the best examples of how diamond jewellery can stand the test of time, be passed down from generation to generation, and only grows in emotional and intrinsic value over the years,” jeweller, Grant Mobley, told the newspaper.
Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring
The Duchess of Sussex famously paid tribute to Princess Diana on her wedding day, as the bride wore the late royal’s aquamarine ring for the couple’s reception at Frogmore House.
With a value of £75,000, the supersized ring proved the perfect finishing touch to her Stella McCartney gown.
Adding even more extravagance to the bridal ensemble, she completed the look with a pair of £60,000 18ct gold Cartier drop earrings.
The Queen’s Cartier earrings
Since joining the royal family, Meghan has also worn a sentimental gift given to her by the Queen.
On her debut solo trip with Her Majesty in June 2018, the Duchess of Sussex wore a pair of £4,275 pearl and diamond earrings.
Princess Diana’s butterfly earrings
The mother-of-one later wore a pair of Princess Diana’s butterfly earrings, with an estimated cost of £2,300, to kick-start her first royal tour of Australia and New Zealand in autumn 2018.
It was a touching gesture, as the earrings were first worn by the late royal on the 1986 tour of Canada.

Meghan Markle’s New Zealand necklace
While on her debut royal tour, Meghan was introduced to prime minister Jacinda Ardern.
For the historic meeting, the former ‘Suits’ star chose a £8,800 diamond necklace by homegrown jeweller Jessica McCormack - a not-so-subtle diplomatic move.
Adding to her jewellery collection, Ardern gave Meghan a pair of earrings by New Zealand designer Boh Runga.
Meghan Markle’s Tonga necklace and earrings
Towards the end of the royal tour, the Duchess of Sussex showcased some more jewellery while in Tonga.
Meghan accessorised her Veronica Beard shirtdress perfectly with a £1,400 Pippa Small aquamarine necklace.
While a pair of her go-to £375 Adina Reyter earrings, which she has worn at least six times, completed the ensemble.

How does Meghan’s jewellery collection compare to Kate’s?
Rumour has it, the Duchess of Cambridge boasts an impressive 60-piece jewellery collection.
The most famous item of jewellery the mother-of-three owns is undoubtedly Princess Diana’s £300,000 sapphire engagement ring.
While she also owns the historic ‘Saudi Suite’ set - which includes a sapphire watch, earrings, bracelet, ring and necklace - a wedding gift to Princess Diana from Crown Prince Fahd.
