Meghan and Kate reunite to mark Charles' 50 years as Prince of Wales

A day after Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Kensington Palace issued new social media guidelines to combat online attacks against the royals amidst negative reports about Meghan Markle and rumours that she and Kate Middleton don’t get along, the two duchesses put on a happy face Tuesday in support of Prince Charles.

Kate and Meghan joined their husbands to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their father-in-law’s Investiture; Charles was formally named the Prince of Wales in 1969, and Tuesday’s reception at Buckingham Palace featured Welsh performers.

Proving that mint green truly is her go-to colour of the moment, Kate wore a bespoke, midi-length pale green dress by a private dressmaker, with a ruffled neck and button-front bodice. She teamed it with cream courts and a satin clutch bag.

Her pregnant sister-in-law, meanwhile, opted for a silver and gold brocade dress that fell to the knee, which she paired with her cream Amanda Wakeley Crombie coat, pink satin Wilbur & Gussie clutch and suede Paul Andrew heels.
