Meet Strictly star Tasha Ghouri's proud parents and family
Tasha Ghouri has been consistently topping the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard thanks to her breathtaking performances with her professional dance partner, Aljaz Skorjanec. The 26-year-old model, who rose to fame as a contestant on the 2022 series of Love Island, is a favourite among fans and has been inundated with support from her boyfriend Andrew Le Page and her family, who have been cheering her on all the way. Meet Tasha's proud parents and siblings
Tasha is the daughter of proud parents, Tarek and Nicky. She also has a brother named Alexander, who lives in Australia, and a step-sister called Sienna.
When Tasha was revealed as part of the 2024 celebrity line-up, Tarek, who is a DJ, praised his daughter's work ethic as he shared his excitement on social media. "A childhood (and tbh Dad's) dream has come true for her through hard work, charity work, remaining genuine, polite and humble, her truly supportive and hard-working agency @off_limitsent along with family manifestation and pestering people," he penned.
"Some might say Tasha has an advantage being a trained dancer but actually she has no idea what she is doing with ballroom dance styles and of course, she has the added challenge of her hearing loss which will hamper training, communication and her performance in many ways," he continued. "Tasha continues to push and challenge herself. Why? To offer confidence and support to those that do not believe they have it and to show anything is possible."
Since then, Tasha's family have been supporting her from the sidelines – and her dad even teared up as he watched his daughter perform the Viennese Waltz to 'Misty Blu' by Dorothy Moore in the second week of the competition.

Commenting on Tarek's moving reaction, host Claudia Winkleman said: "What made us all quite emotional was your dad who was sobbing," adding: "It wasn't a gentle cry. He was really crying watching his baby girl."
Taking to social media after the show, Tarek said he was left blubbering over Tasha's "grace and beauty". "So many years of her development and struggles flashed before me so to see her fulfilling her ultimate dream emotions took over," he added.
Tasha's family have always expressed their support and pride for the model. During her time on Love Island, Tasha's dad shared his approval of his daughter's blossoming relationship with fellow islander Andrew, who is now her boyfriend of two years.
Alongside a video of the two lovebirds sitting by the famous villa firepit, Tarek penned on Twitter, now X: "It's real. It always was. It just needed time. Thank you public for putting them together in the first place."
In a later post, he said Andrew was "looking more and more like son-in-law material".
Tasha's step-sister Sienna also shared her support at the time, sharing a clip of her and Tasha dancing on TikTok. She captioned the video: "So proud of you [heart emoji]," alongside the hashtag: "#stepsis".
