One of our biggest bugbears about wearing skirts or dresses in the summer, is the feeling of our thighs rubbing together, especially in the heat.
With another heatwave enveloping the country, now is the time to take steps to avoid this irritation.
Back in June we shared the news that Marks and Spencer's popular anti-chafing shorts were back in stock - and you seemed to be just as excited as us.
And now the summer wardrobe essentials are back again, and this time they come fitted with a pretty-nifty thigh shaping feature.
The light control thigh-shaping shorts work by sculpting your tummy and thighs to accentuate your natural curves and use gentle compression to flatten your stomach and smooth your hips and thighs.
Plus, they’re designed without side seams, to eliminate any unwanted VPL when worn with tight-fitting garments.

The shorts come in sizes 8 through to 22 and are available in two colourways: black and almond.
They already seem to be causing quite a stir. Numerous shoppers have left reviews in praise of the shorts, so it’s clear that - along with our Birkenstocks - these shorts are about to become a summer staple.
“Love these shorts,” one shopper wrote.
“They feel great under dresses and skirts. I normally wear a size 12 but bought a size 14 as I didn’t want them too tight and they fit perfectly, very comfortable. Not designed to be overly slimming but they make you feel secure and eliminate thigh chafing. I would recommend them.”
While another added: “This is the third pair I have bought, they are very light and hardly feel [like] you are wearing any, but they are very useful for wearing under a skirt.”
