Loose Women’s Christine Lampard reveals she was robbed in ‘broad daylight’ but shop security ‘did nothing’

Christine Lampard shared how she was robbed while shopping on the King’s Road in Chelsea - but she claimed that security did nothing to help her. Christine spoke about her ordeal on Loose Women and revealed it all happened in ‘broad daylight’.

It came during the panel's discussion about the Prime Minister's right to prioritise 'physical crime' after arrests have been happening to journalists following social media posts. The Loose Women then began to discuss crime in the UK. Christine then weighed in with the shocking real-life experience a few weeks ago when she had her phone stolen right out of her handbag.

Christine opened up to her fellow panellists, Olivia Attwood, Judi Love and Brenda Edwards. She revealed: “I had my phone stolen out of my handbag just a matter of weeks ago in a store off the King’s Road in London and I said to the security guy ‘my phone’s been stolen’ and he went [put hands in the air] ‘there are at least 30 a day, stolen out of here’.

“And I went ‘so everybody knows that’s happening then?’ and yeah, you’re another statistic that day. And that’s what happens then when you feel like there’s nothing you can do. And to be fair, I can understand I’m not going to have a police task force finding my phone for me because there are thousands and thousands of phones being stolen.”

During the show, Olivia added that she felt London is full of muggings and robberies. She even went as far as to compare the UK capital to “Gotham City”. Judi weighed in with how trolling "can snowball" and in turn "insight hate", which can then "insight violence". Brenda added how the police force needs to "understand social media".

Currently two Loose Women are competing in ITV’s I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. Show regular Jane Moore made her debut on the gameshow last night along with GK Barry - who shockingly revealed they have never appeared on the panel together.

The co-stars paired up for the very first task of the series in the race to become the first leaders of camp, but ended up in fourth place. After facing cockroaches, a kayak race and for some, jumping out of a plane - it was N-Dubz star Tulisa and Corrie’s Alan Halsall who were declared the first camp leaders of the 2024 series.
