New Look's £27 suede bag has major designer vibes
Designer bags are forever at the top of our fashion wish lists, but sadly, the four-figure price tags mean we're usually only staring longingly at our favourite designs, rather than adding them to our everyday wardrobes.
That's why we appreciate the many high-street brands that keep a beady eye on the runways and produce their own takes on high-end designs, allowing us to shop the most stylish looks for less.
When it comes to bags, New Look is a great first port of call, offering a fantastically good value range of styles at very accessible prices. Recently, we added a £32.99 woven bag that reminded us of Bottega Veneta's iconic Jodie bag to basket, and now, we're snapping up a borg style that also has major designer vibes.
The Tan Borg Trim Link Hobo Bag, just £27.99, is made from suede-effect fabric with a chic faux-shearling trim, a gold-detailed fastening and an adjustable strap. Though more tan in colour and not made from real leather, it shares strong similarities with Saint Laurent's covetable Le 5 à 7 Small Suede Shoulder Bag, costing over £2,000.
Suede bags are having a moment right now, becoming a favourite with celebrities (Daisy Edgar-Jones, Bella Hadid, Sofia Richie...) and the fashion set alike, in large part thanks to The Row's sell-out Margaux 17 bag.
