Kylie Jenner reveals that she's had her famous lip fillers removed

Kylie Jenner has removed her famous lip fillers leading fans to hail the return of the ‘old Kylie’.

On Sunday, the 20-year-old took to Instagram to share a photograph of her posing with a noticeably smaller pout alongside a close friend.

The caption does not reference her new appearance, as she simply wrote: ‘heat wave’.

But when one fan commented that the snap showcases her ‘old’ aesthetic, the social media mogul replied: “I got rid of all my filler.”

And a large number of her 110 million followers took to the comments section to hail her ‘new’ look.

One fan wrote, “You rock the natural lips”.

While another commented: “Ok girl, I’m so proud of you to take out your fillers and be so confident of something you were so insecure about. I’m here for it, you look more beautiful than ever.”

The surprising news comes after Jenner recently answered fan questions in a video Q&A, where she revealed that her daughter, Stormi Webster, had inherited her father’s lips.

The new mum said, “The one thing I was insecure about, she has – she has the most perfect lips in the whole entire world. She didn’t get those from me.”

After years of speculation, Jenner finally admitted to having lip fillers back in May 2015 on an episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’.

As a consequence to personal insecurities, the reality star said: “I have temporary lip fillers, it’s just an insecurity of mine and it’s what I wanted to do. I want to admit to the lips, but people are so quick to judge me on everything, so I might have tiptoed around the truth. But I didn’t lie.”

Within 24 hours of her confession, there was a 75 percent spike in lip filler enquiries according to the Independent.

So what will her decision to go for a more ‘natural’ look mean for the plastic surgery industry?

Nick Milojevic, leading aesthetic doctor at Milo Clinic, told Yahoo Style UK: “With the recent news of Kylie Jenner removing her lip filler, this could mean a further increase in women opting for a natural lip as oppose to the larger, voluptuous lip look especially as she is a huge influence on young women.”

He added: “2019 will definitely see a more natural lip that aligns with the other features of the face and not over dominate the face.”
