Kim Kardashian shares unrecognisable throwback photo of herself aged 16 with short hair
She is known for experimenting with different hairstyles, but the look Kim Kardashian sported in her mid-teens has surprised even her fans.
The star, 40, shared a throwback photo, taken in 1996 – making her aged approximately 16 years old – with her 202 million fans on Instagram.
She can be seen smiling at the camera wearing a blue T-shirt and skirt, with her brunette locks cut very short and styled into a centre-parting with rectangular clips.
Captioning the image, the mother-of-four nostalgically wrote: “1996! It’s the outfit from Judy’s, candy necklace and barrettes for me...”
The sweet old snap was well-received by her followers who left more than 1.7 million ‘likes’ and over 5,000 comments.
One person wrote: “The iconic hair clips!”
Another commented: “Fashion icon since day one!”
A third shared: “It’s so 90s. I love it.”
Referencing her eldest daughter, a fourth added: “Definitely North vibes.”
And a fifth told her: “Stunning.”
It comes as Kardashian joked that the upcoming – and final – season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians features her “seriously ugly cry faces”.
Sharing the trailer on Instagram, she teased: “I wouldn’t leave you without some seriously ugly cry faces.”
The video shows the famous family telling production that they’ve decided to end the show, after 14 years.
Kris Jenner said: “We just wanted to tell you in person that we won't be going forward with filming the show anymore.”
Her second-eldest daughter added: “I just want you to know that we really appreciate you guys. Each and every one of you.”
Kardashian is also rumoured to be on the verge of divorce with husband Kanye West, who she married in 2014.
Earlier this month, an insider told Yahoo Entertainment that while “divorce is likely”, the Skims owner “wants to make sure she’s making the right decision” for her family.
Kardashian and West share daughter North, seven; son Saint, five; daughter Chicago, three; and son Psalm, 20 months.
