Kendall Jenner has returned to her signature brunette with a new blunt bob
In true model fashion, Kendall Jenner has unveiled a new hair transformation in line with the new winter season. In contrast to her previous golden blonde, the 29-year-old has opted for a warm-toned brunette shade, and swapped her collarbone-skimming length for a shorter bob.
The model was pictured this week with the new blunt cut in a decidedly preppy, off-duty look, wearing a grey knit vest layered over a striped blue shirt, black skirt and loafers — an outfit reminiscent of Rachel Green's signature style in the hit sitcom Friends.
But rather than replicate the much-referenced 'Rachel' haircut, Jenner has decided to go back to her brunette roots with a sleek, middle-part bob that falls just below her jawline. The colour appears to be a lighter, warmer brown than her natural deep, cool-toned shade, but as we've seen in the past, every hue and style of cut stands to look flattering on the model.
Jenner teased the look on her Instagram last week, sharing a selection of photos with a sleek bob taken by the photographer Mert Alas, but it wasn't until she was pictured out this week that it became clear the shorter style wasn't a one-off editorial look. The transformation was confirmed by her stylist, Dani Mitchell, who posted the off-duty shot to her Instagram, captioning it simply with, "KENDALL".
While the 'old-money' bob has proved a popular choice for celebrities this year, the socialite has styled her new shorter cut with an undone, effortless finish, wearing it straight with a slight tousled texture.
Jenner has undergone many a hair transformation over the years, in part due to the demands of her modelling jobs, but she's also proven herself as a leading style symbol in her own right. Read more about her personal beauty philosophy here.
