Kate reminds fans of sweet memory with George in red Catherine Walker coat for Commonwealth Day
The Duchess of Cambridge gave royal watchers a case of déjà vu with her outfit for today’s Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in London.
Kate chose a red Catherine Walker double breasted coat dress, which reminded fans of a sweet moment with her eldest son Prince George.
The duchess, 37, first sported the ensemble as she arrived in New Zealand on her and William’s royal tour in April 2014. She stepped off the plane in the striking red number with a matching Gina Foster hat, carrying a then eight-month-old George.
Fast forward five years later and she’s a mum-of-three to George, Charlotte, now three, and baby Louis, who will celebrate his first birthday next month.
Today, Kate teamed her red coat with new grey suede court shoes (£425) and a matching clutch bag (£350) by Emmy London. She also appeared to be wearing new earrings for the service.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the afternoon event, as well as the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke of York and the Queen.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth – a global network of 53 countries and almost 2.4 billion people, a third of the world’s population, of whom 60 percent are under 30 years old.
Pregnant Meghan, who is due to give birth in April, wore a chain print dress by Victoria Beckham, while Camilla and the Queen wore outfits in co-ordinating shades of purple.
