Jennifer Lawrence tries the hair trend of the season with new fringe
Is there any celebrity who isn't getting a fringe of some description cut right now? It's undoubtedly the hairstyle of the season, inspired by the ongoing trend for all things Seventies, Stevie Nicks (a forever style inspiration for us) and boho. The latest A-lister to debut new 'bangs' is Jennifer Lawrence, and her soft, effortless look is one of our favourites yet.
The Oscar-winning actor, who confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child over the weekend, was photographed in Hollywood last night (Wednesday 23 October) with long, honey-blonde hair that had been freshly layered to add face-framing texture. Her chic wispy fringe made a surprising change from her usual centre parting, skimming her eyebrows a la Jane Birkin before graduating into the rest of her hair, 'curtain bangs' style.
We also loved JLaw's outfit for the premiere of her documentary film Zurwaski V Texas, which follows a group of women denied abortions who band together with a determined attorney to sue the state of Texas. She wore a cream, off-the-shoulder coat dress with a contrasting black belt and buttons, paired with simple black court shoes and minimalist jewellery.
Sabrina Carpenter, Daisy Edgar Jones and Dakota Johnson have been leading the fringe charge, and it's only getting more popular as we move into autumn/winter and aren't so bothered about hair sticking to our faces. Jennifer follows Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar in jumping on the 'bangs' bandwagon, with the actor sharing her own hair transformation on Instagram recently.
