JLS band member JB Gill had some big changes to deal with this week on Strictly Come Dancing as he swapped professional dancer partners. Originally paired with Welsh dancer Amy Dowden JB had to perform with Lauren Oakley while Amy recovered from an illness.

Amy had to miss the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing as she underwent treatment for breast cancer and made her return to Strictly in 2024. Although it has not been confirmed if Amy will return to the dancefloor with JB on Saturday, November 9 he sent her a secret message when he and Lauren made it through.

Looking at the camera, after it was announced he and Lauren were safe and not in the dance-off, JB said: "For you Amy." while pointing at the camera. Amy shared a clip of JB sending her this message to her Instagram story and said the message left her "crying".

She said: "That moment when @jbgill said to camera for you Amy! Yes I'm crying! The most genuine, kind, humble TALENTED SOUL! Thank you partner!" For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.

She added: "This was a week we had been planning and was so so excited about!... I'm so happy and proud it all came together for you, especially after a tough week. What a star and big thanks to @lizzie.gough for the perfect routine, @ginanaomibirch our producer! @laurenmayoakley I'll keep saying it forever grateful to you!"

Earlier in the week JB said it was "surreal" to be training without Amy. He said: "We’ve been able to build an incredible rapport over the last six, seven weeks and it’s been great going to the training room with her and working on the new routine and, for me, learning different styles – whether it’s a ballroom style or new Latin style – and then watching that process sort of as it builds into the show that we put on, on the Saturday night. So to not have her in rehearsals this week has been a bit surreal."
