Holly Willoughby shocks fans by letting her son, 8, cut her hair: 'Giving me the fear'
Watch: Holly Willoughby's eight year old son appears to cut her hair
Holly Willoughby surprised fans by letting her eight-year-old son cut her hair.
The This Morning presenter shared a short video to Instagram of her youngest child Chester cutting her mid-length hair into a bob.
"Chester decided it was time," Willoughby wrote in the accompanying caption. "When your 8 year old gets hold of the scissors."
While the 41-year-old, mum-of-three is famous for her trademark, long bob, she has been sporting a longer style in recent months.
But clearly she had decided to opt for a change ahead of her first appearance back on the daytime TV show after a Christmas and New Year break.
The short clip showed the eight-year-old using silver hairdressing scissors to chop inches off the length of his mum's blonde tresses.
Something which seemed to shock many of the presenter's followers.
"Wow you’re brave!! Can we see an after pic please!" one user commented.
"Omg, don't leave us hanging. What's your end look?" another asked.
"As a hairdresser this is giving me the fear," another user added.

But there was no need for the concern as it appears Willoughby's stylist was on hand to take over from Chester's initial cut.
Sharing the same video to her own Instagram feed, Ciler Peksah, praised Chester's hair styling promise.
"My little Apprentice in the making," she captioned her own clip.
Fans didn't have to wait long for the grand unveiling as earlier on Monday morning the Dancing on Ice host shared a first glimpse of her newly chopped locks as she prepared for her first morning back on This Morning.
Dressed in an LK Bennett patterned dress and heels, Willoughby, who also shares eldest son Harry, 13, and daughter Belle, 11, with her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin, wore her new chic bob in loose waves.
"Good morning and happy new hair!" she wrote in the accompanying caption. "Can’t wait to catch up and see you on @thismorning at 10am."
While some were concerned about the idea of a child cutting Willoughby's hair, other's praised Chester for his scissor skills.
"Chester, did a good job of your hair!" one fan wrote.
"Your boy did a great job!" presenter Nikki Chapman wrote.
"Yes Chester Scissorhands," Willoughby's sister wrote.

Other fans commented that they were big fans of the look, with many saying they prefer Willoughby's hair in this shorter style.
"Shorter hair suits you so much better," another agreed.
"Love your hair in a bob ! Suits you so much!" another user wrote.
"Beautiful! Much prefer the shorter hair, love it!!!" yet another fan commented.
Willoughby's hair stylist recently revealed some of the products behind her client's glossy locks, including a Hair Boss by Lisa Shepherd pre-shampoo scalp scrub which helps to fend off a dry scalp.
Speaking in a blog post for Willoughby’s Wylde Moon, hair stylist and consultant Ciler Peksah revealed how she maintains the presenter’s hair through the autumn and winter months.
“September is always synonymous with wiping the slate clean – and you can also apply that to your hair,” Peksah wrote in the blog post about autumn hair.
“I absolutely adore this pre-shampoo scalp scrub for making my head feel rejuvenated,” she added.
“Used weekly, this product contains tea tree oil and rosebay extract to remove any buildup or dandruff from the scalp and hairline, and open the pores for fresh, new hair to come through.”

Last year, on her return to This Morning after her summer break, the 41-year-old had shown off her longer and blonder locks, which were off-set by a red tailored midi skirt and relaxed button-down shirt in the vibrant shade.
Willoughby teamed the ensemble with subtle nude suede court shoe heels, and wore her signature blonde hair in a new style with extensions.
“I told my hairdresser that I wanted something a bit different, and she worked her magic,” Willoughby told her co-host.
