Holly Willoughby returned to This Morning on Monday after a two-week break from the show. It was the first time she has appeared since co-presenter Philip Schofield announced he was stepping down from This Morning amid recent revelations about his extra-marital affair.
Schofield, 61, admitted to lying about an affair with a colleague on This Morning, and stepped down as host of the ITV daytime television show.
Willoughby, 42, always takes the school holidays off work, and has spent half-term with Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, eight and their dog Bailey.
The mother-of-three began the show with a speech to viewers addressing recent revelations.
The presenter said she felt “shaken, troubled, let down and worried” as she returned to host This Morning with new co-host Josie Gibson.
Willoughby opted for an off-white sleeveless shirt dress, from British brand Reiss for her return to work.
The simply cut white dress was a departure from her usual go-to bright-coloured and floral dresses, perhaps to suit the tone of the more sombre start to the show, as many viewers noted the “angelic” style on social media.
The Reiss shirt dress featured button detailing and a pointed collar, which was done up all the way to the neck.
The shirted dress cinched in at Willoughby’s waist for an A-line effect and also features a cut-out at the back for something a little different in the summer season.
Willoughby chose a pair of beige coloured high-heels, and minimal jewellery, but the dress could be dressed up or down depending on where you’re heading. Simply add flat sandals for a laid-back summer BBQ vibe.
The linen blend midi dress comes in petite or regular, in sizes 4-18, and is also available in a navy colourway.
