Helen Flanagan says she’s ‘broody for more babies’ in first joint interview with new boyfriend

You could argue that Helen Flanagan already has her hands pretty full, juggling a successful career in telly. with looking after the three children - Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and three year-old Charlie - who she co-parents with her ex-fiance, footballer Scott Sinclair. But the former Corrie star, 33, who is now blissfully happy with her new man, former pro footballer Robbie Talbot, 44, admits in their exclusive first interview as a couple with OK!, that she’s feeling ‘broody’ - and wouldn’t be against adding to her brood.

Between them, the two lovebirds, who met when they began chatting at a restaurant in Alderley Edge back in February, before Helen went on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating - causing a stir on the show she admitted she was ‘secretly’ dating, have five children - Robbie also has two daughters, Sophia, 14, and 10-year-old Carina, from a previous relationship.

But it’s not put either of them off, it seems - despite Helen’s past struggles in pregnancy with extreme morning sickness. As Robbie tells OK!: “There’s a 10-year age gap between us, but I wouldn’t rule it out. Not right now, maybe in future.”

As for Helen, she says: “I’m always broody. But my pregnancies have always been hard. I suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum, so I get really terrible sickness. When I was pregnant with Charlie I had such guilt, even now, about not spending enough time with the others because I was poorly. But still, I can’t help but be broody. I love babies.”

Both the actress, who split from Scott after 13 years in 2022, and Robbie are utterly devoted to their children - admitting that they will always come first, amid their deepening love story. “Robbie has his kids four times a week, which for me is a huge green flag,” Helen says.

She adds: “He’s a great daddy. And our kids all get along so well. Carina and Matilda are the same age and are so cute together, and I consider myself a friend to Sophia, we have great chats. For me, the most romantic thing Robbie could do is be kind to my kids. He tucks them up at night and reads them bedtime stories. To me that means so much more than flowers or chocolates.”

And the potential patter of tiny feet isn’t the only thing this couple of just eight months have discussed during their whirlwind romance. They’ve also touched on the idea of tying the knot, somewhere down the line. Robbie has been previously married, but Helen is yet to have the kind of white wedding she confesses she's always fantasised about.

“I still dream about a big wedding,” Helen confesses. “I want the dress, the big day, all of it. I definitely want to get married.” Robbie, who was previously married, adds: “I’d be open to doing it again, of course.”
