Gogglebox's Dave and Shirley share rare snaps of grown-up children who viewers never see on screen
Gogglebox favourites Dave and Shirley have two grown-up children called Simon and Gemma, who have kept away from the spotlight. While they haven't ever been on the Channel 4 reality show, their parents occasionally share pictures of them on their social media accounts.
The couple, who have been married for more than 45 years and part of Gogglebox since 2015, shared a snap of Simon running the Caerphilly 10km in September as they cheered him on from the sidelines. They captioned the picture of their son's sporting achievement: "Simon, our son, completed the #Cardiff10k. Well done, son. By the way, he's the one on the left. We are not that old. Well done to his mate # Gogglebox."
Their followers flocked to the comments section, with one writing: "Well done mate. A huge achievement." Another noted: "Wow. Proud parents. I know how ye feel. Well done." A third said: "Well done, I had a nice chat with him in McDonald's before the race... I least I think it was him...lol."

The proud parents also shared a clip of their son running the Newport Marathon in April this year. The video on X, formerly known as Twitter, was captioned: "He did it 3hrs 46 mins so proud, well-done son so proud xxx."
Meanwhile, their daughter Gemma made an appearance on Dave's Instagram two months ago, looking dolled up with a friend who appeared dressed for a wedding or a day at the races wearing blue and green fascinators. Back in 2021, Dave and Shirley uploaded a snap of a family get-together with Gemma, her husband Alex, and their grandson Elliot.

Sharing two pictures to his Instagram page from a meal out as a family, Dave said: "Merry Christmas to one and all, from the Griffiths family, love Dave and Shirley xxx."
Most of Dave and Shirley's social media posts are selfies taken from the comfort of their own home. However, Dave posted some snaps from a trip abroad without Shirley earlier this year.
He jetted off to Dubai in June, leaving fans wondering where Shirley was as he shared a picture smiling next to an Incredible Hulk statue. A friend of his penned: "Have a brilliant time; tell Shirl I am asking for her."
Dave then confirmed Shirley wasn't on the trip, writing: "All right lovely, I'm not with Shirley I'm with my boy, long story, but I'll give her your love when I get back. Hope you and Georgia are good will keep in touch xx."
