GMB's Susanna Reid all smiles with rarely-seen lookalike mum in cosy outing together
The festive season has officially kicked off and dozens of celebrities have been busy getting in the Christmas spirit. Among the famous faces enjoying some festive cheer is Susanna Reid, who was all smiles as she attended a star-studded event in London alongside her beloved mum Sue.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 53, headed to Christmas At Kew VIP preview at Kew Gardens on Tuesday, 12 November alongside retired nurse Sue. The mother and daughter duo wrapped up warm for their cosy outing, which was also attended by the likes of Fearne Cotton, Alex Jones, Vanessa Feltz and Katie Piper.
Mum-of-three Susanna sported a stylish black bomber jacket paired with a vibrant blue scarf and a grey knitted bobble hat. She wore cream trousers and a knitted jumper, as well as a pair of cosy gloves as she beamed for the camera. Meanwhile, Sue also looked cosy in a long black puffer jacket and orange jumper. She accessorised with a beige checked scarf and wore her hair in a short bob.

Susanna, who is famed for presenting GMB alongside the likes of Richard Madeley, regularly brings her beloved mum to showbiz events and Sue has even joined her on the GMB sofa in the past. The 53 year old has also regularly praised her mum, who is a retired nurse who first qualified at the now closed Westminster Hospital in the 1960s.
Sue worked as a nurse and health visitor for 50 years before retiring. She still volunteers today despite having retired many years ago. Previously speaking about volunteering, she told The Sun: “I see nurses doing amazing things. I still visit families who have babies that had heart surgery and things. While you’ve still got life you should use it. That’s why I volunteer. It’s very rewarding when you get to a certain age when you have skills and experience that mean you can understand better than others."
Sue's former work as a nurse has even earned her the title 'Nurse Grandma' among her family. She is a grandmother to Susanna's three sons, Sam, Finn and Jack.
Previously speaking about her mum, Susanna said: “At the heart of my family is a woman who has spent 60 years taking care of others. Nurse Grandma, as we affectionately call her, is who everyone in our family calls when there’s a cough that won’t go or a temperature that needs bringing down.”
Susanna shares her three sons with ex-husband Dominic Cotton, who she divorced in 2014 after marrying in 1998.
